Basic Kinesiology Practice (HLT 42807)

 

This professional training program was developed by Dr Bruce Dewe MD and his wife Joan Dewe.
The Basic Kinesiology Program is a stand-alone course, giving you powerful basic Kinesiology techniques to use with family and friends. Completing this course is a first step towards an exciting career in Kinesiology.
Through 10 units, students develop practical skills and confidence in Basic Kinesiology.

 

Each unit consists of 16 hours face-to-face classes, as well as 16+ hours of practice and assignments. Practical and computer knowledge tests are part of each unit.
Parijat is a Senior Faculty Member with the International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice (ICPKP), International Speaker, Registered Herbalist and Course Author.

Students are enrolled with ICPKP and will be able to take part in the international student forum via the internet.

 

Certificate IV and Diploma are now Nationally accredited.

Kinesiology Schools Australia are now offering an up-dated Certificate IV. This includes the 10 Basic Kinesiology Units, plus Anatomy and Physiology, Senior First Aid, Business Administration and Clinical Health and Safety. This expands Cert IV studies to a full year.


Our Kinesiology training meets the needs both of the younger person, choosing Kinesiology as a career, as well as the mature student, retraining for a second career.This course will empower you to learn, grow and embrace life as a Practicing Kinesiologist, so in turn, you can help others along their path of healing and development.

The Diploma adds another 20 Kinesiology Units, Nutrition, advanced Anatomy and Physiology, and How to Manage a Business, Mentoring and Research. Diploma studies can be achieved in 2 1/2 to 3 years (including the first year for Cert IV).


You can achieve an "International Advanced Diploma" level, in 4 years plus. You skills will include in-depth balancing in the physical, personal ecology and nutrition, emotional, energetic, spiritual, realtionship with self, surrogating, structure function, communication, environmental and other areas of life.

The BKP certificate is recognized by the Australian Kinesiology Association (AKA) and the Australian Institute of Kinesiology (AIK) and allows you to register as a Level 1 Kinesiologist.

Diploma studies will give students Level 2 recognition. Some of the more Advanced Health Funds are interested in paying clients a rebate for visiting a Kinesiologist with this level of training.

When you have achieved competency of Cert IV, you are able to begin working as a Kinesiologist and be eligible to buy professional indemnity insurance when working. Work as a Kinesiologist while you continue to increase your knowledge base to include Advanced Studies.

The Gold Cost Course is offered in conjunction with the Brisbane College. Some units will be taught by Parijat Wismer, some units by Danny Liddell.

You will be studying with the Gold Coast Kinesiology College.

   
The Byron Kinesiology Centre is a “Kinesiology Schools Australia College ",
a Registered Training Organization (RTO). BKP is GST free to all students.
Students who study the Certificate IV with us may be able to apply for Austudy or Youth Allowance support.

Kinesiology Schools Australia course fees for 2009 studies are due by February 8, 2009

Payment Options for Full Time Study:

Certificate IV

includes BKP units 101- 110 classes, assessed homework, exams and the correspondence courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Business Administration and Clinical Health and Safety. No GST.

Senior First Aid is not included and needs to be taken with St John's Ambulance Service or Surf Life Saving.

1. Pay in full by 8 Feb 2009 and receive a discount of $ 400. You pay only $ 5000.

2. Deposit of $600 plus 8 monthly installments of $600 to a total of $ 5400 on a signed payment plan contract.

Any other arrangement needs to be applied for.

You have the option to withdraw from the course after the first unit, if you feel that the training offered does not meet your needs. After that date, you are committed to the year's training and fees even if you are on a payment plan.

A discount may be available if you have taken other Kinesiology Courses.

If you have taken A&P with another registered training organization (RTO) to our standard, you may be able to claim 'Recognition for Prior Learning' or RPL and receive a discount on your course fees.

BKP training is only available by pre-payment or contract.

Diploma Studies

It will take 18 months to 2 years to complete the Diploma after you have graduated with your Certificate IV. This Diploma gives you outstanding professional training.

 

Add 20 Units of Advanced Kinesiology Courses plus Nutrition, Manage a Business, Mentoring, Research, A&P301 (A&P301 is a pathopysiology unit).

Diploma Study units can be taken part-time. However achieving all necessary units may take time, as not all units are offered every year.

The fees are divided into year 2 and year 3.

Pre-pay in full for the diploma and save $800.
